Murdoc, also know as "Doc"[2] is an outmoded robot living in Dupont at Aunt Ginny's house alongside other outmodes. As part of his living arrangement, he goes out to find "treasures and junk" and brings them back for Aunt Ginny to either keep or sell for "rent".[3]
Doc worked in Demolitions until his warranty expired, making him an outmode. He is able to ingest hazardous waste and scrap metal.[2]
Doc gets along well with the other outmodes staying with Aunt Ginny and was surprised to see Emmy come to the mansion, thinking that a Nandroid wouldn't have been junked for at least another 10 years.[4] He also seemed very skeptical of Emmy's story and he and the other outmodes laughed at Emmy at her insistence she wasn't an outmode and her family was worried about her.[5] He took part in a bet as to whether Emmy would return to Aunt Ginny's after she ran away, losing to Dennis once she returned.[6]
