Dvalin is a fanon Botler, the male equivalent of a Nandroid. He is touted as a "defense servant" but due to a surprise bombing, Dvalin is superficially damaged and his master killed. As investigators give Julianne, the new widower, the bad news, she becomes inconsolable and blames Dvalin for failing to protect her husband. Dvalin leaves the room in an attempt to calm her down and meets Eliana, the daughter of his former master. After providing her with a jacket to keep her warm, Eliana takes him inside to help remove shrapnel still embedded in his frame.
