Marcy is a Nandroid character Fanon affiliated with the United Federation of Planets and Starfleet. She holds the rank of Captain and serves aboard the U.S.S. Beacon, a Galaxy-class starship. Her primary mission is to safeguard the core sectors of the Federation from criminal organizations such as the Orion Syndicate, the Maquis (if deemed necessary), and various pirate groups. This assignment began on Stardate 2265.6, reflecting her critical role in maintaining the Federation’s internal security.
Marcy has distinctive chestnut-brown hair and, despite being deeply integrated into Starfleet, harbors a strong curiosity about the history of her kind. She has spent considerable time researching and reflecting on the origins and societal roles of Nandroids, exploring what it meant to be one before their widespread acceptance as sentient beings. This personal interest highlights her dual identity as both an advanced officer of Starfleet and an individual striving to understand her heritage.
Her leadership aboard the U.S.S. Beacon combines her unique perspective as a Nandroid with a dedication to protecting the Federation's ideals, making her an essential figure in Starfleet’s efforts to uphold peace and order.
Character summary[edit | edit source]
Personality[edit | edit source]
Marcy possesses a serious, adventurous, and warrior-like personality, embracing a no-nonsense philosophy when it comes to combating crime. She is relentless and determined, approaching her missions with unwavering resolve and style, earning her a reputation as one of the finest captains in Starfleet when it comes to internal security and crime-fighting operations.
Despite her strong exterior, Marcy harbors a softer, more caring side that she reserves for her friends and loved ones. She often wrestles with self-doubt, as she prioritizes the well-being of her crew above her own, sometimes to her own detriment. These internal struggles weigh on her, but she does her best to set them aside and remain focused on her duties.
Marcy's impatience when facing criminal threats stems from her deep desire to quickly deliver justice and protect those under her care. However, she understands that not all situations can be resolved swiftly, which can sometimes frustrate her. Nevertheless, she is resilient and refuses to give up, even when the odds are stacked against her. Her ability to balance her hardline approach to crime with her compassionate nature makes her a truly exceptional leader.[1]

She was born on Stardate 2233.22 in the Beacon County factories located in New York City, United Earth. As a Nandroid with a love for space exploration from an early age, and due to the recognition of Nandroids as a form of life, she was built at the request of her parents and sent to live with them, experiencing a relatively "normal" childhood in Beacon. On Stardate 2252.152, she enlisted in Starfleet Academy, joining the Command Division and excelling in her training. She graduated as part of the Cadet Training Squadron 47, also known as the Red Squadron. After graduating, she was assigned to the U.S.S. Akina as her first starship. Outside her career, she has formed connections along the Cardassian border, with some of those relationships now tied to the Maquis including an ex-boyfriend.!
Marcy, as a Nandroid from the 23rd century, features various updates that set her apart from the first generation created by Sterling Robotics. Among her most notable capabilities is a rapid recharging method that mimics eating and drinking in organic species. While this provides only a minimal energy boost, it can be useful when her charging station is unavailable. Additionally, she has a built-in Phaser Type II in her right hand, which she can use as a weapon when necessary. However, each shot consumes 20% of her battery, making it a last-resort option. Her operating system includes an integrated universal translator, and she can connect to Starfleet computers and equipment to access information or even control a starship on her own. However, doing so for extended periods causes significant stress to her processor, potentially leaving it "fried" if pushed too far.
Relationships[edit | edit source]
Marcy has an exceptional military family. Among the most notable members are her father, Fleet Admiral Johnny, who operates from Earth; her mother, Rear admiral Karly, who oversees operations in territories near the Breen and the northern border with the Cardassian Union; and her younger sister, Winnie, a lieutenant and engineer at the Utopia Planitia shipyards on Mars. She also had an ex-boyfriend during her time aboard the U.S.S. Ferengi: a male version of a Nandroid named Garry. He stayed behind and became a Maquis, creating an emotional conflict for Marcy, as both were part of Starfleet. At the time, Garry was a commander and Marcy was a lieutenant, making it deeply painful for her to see him leave.
Marcy has a strong protective instinct for her loved ones. As the older sibling, she cares deeply for her younger sister, especially when she is in the Solar System, although their roles mean they rarely see each other. Her relationship with her parents is good but professional due to their positions as her superiors. However, on a personal level, she shares a healthy and close bond with them.
