During the birthday incident in which Emmy lost consciousness and involuntarily destroyed Madeline's birthday cake with her fire extinguisher, Amy was shown protecting the children and warning them to stay back. After Emmy returned to her senses Amy attempted to calm Emmy by suggesting that Sterling would be able to fix her malfunction.
