==Page Creation==
To begin, navigate to the page you'd like to create using the format: <code>https://emmytherobot.miraheze.orgwiki/wiki/NAME</code>, where NAME is the subject of the article you are going to write about (ie Emmy, Franny, Waverly, The_Mendenhalls). Remember, spaces should be replaced with underscores (_). You may have to get creative if a page already exists under a certain name but isn't for the character you are wanting (ie Emmy is taken, but you could use Emmy_(Alternate_UniverseMyStoryName)). Once you navigate to the page, if it is blank, you will get a message stating so and an option to 'create this page'. Click it.

Alternatively, use the following box to check: {{#createpage:}}
Line 22:
| age =
| status =
| canon =
| created =
| creator =
Line 93 ⟶ 94:
[[Waverly#Trivia|Waverly's Trivia]]</code><br>
So the syntax is: external links are between a single set of brackets ([ ]), with the full link first, then a space, then the text you would like to see. External links will have an arrow symbol at the end, indicating you will leave the site by clicking it.<br>
<br>Internal links (links to pages on this wiki) can be linked by putting the name of the page between two sets of brackets ([[ ]]). Example: Waverly in brackets ([[Waverly]]) will redirect to https://emmytherobot.miraheze.orgwiki/wiki/Wavrely, without the need to have the full HTTPS link. Adding a pound symbol (#) will link to a certain section of a page. Adding a vertical bar (|) will let you change the displayed text, allowing for a shorter link. If a page hasn't been created yet the link will appear red.

====Categories====
Be sure to properly tag categorize your page by using the <code><nowiki>[[Category:NAME]]</nowiki></code> link at the very bottom of the code snippet. The minimum should include 'Canon' or 'Fanon', along with any others you might think are relevant. Examples could be 'Canon Peoplepeople', 'Fanon Nandroids', 'Canon Outmodesoutmodes', 'Canon Locations', 'Canon Eventslocations'.

===Infobox Information===
The infobox is meant to give a quick overview of pertinent information. Fill out the information as follow:
<div style="background: #ffffff; overflow:auto;width:auto;border:solid gray;border-width:.1em .1em .1em .8em;padding:.2em .6em;"><pre style="margin: 0; line-height: 125%">| name = NandroidsCharacter Namename for the header
| fullname = Character's full name
| image = nandroid.png (More on this in a minute)
| caption = Caption under the image
Line 115 ⟶ 117:
| status = Are they an outmode? Offline? Lost?
| age = Age
| species = Human? Robot?
| sn = Serial Number, if available or required</pre></div>
| type = Nandroid? Busker bot?
| sn = Serial Number, if available or required</pre></div>
| canon = Canon or Fanon, only those two options, please.
</pre></div>

Not all the above information needs filled out. If you leave a space blank after the =, then it won't show up on the final page. Any alphanumeric information can be put into the above area. Take a look at a few pages to figure out the kind of 'style' that would help fit in the wiki.

====Uploading files====
[[File:Emmyupload.png|x250px|right]]
There are two ways to upload images. The first would be to click on the 'Upload File' link in the left 'Wiki tools' panel. You'll be taken to a new page where you can give your image a name and description. Another option is to click the 'Images and Media' button at the top of the page editor box. From there click the 'Upload' button in the bottom left of the pop-up. Be sure to give your images unique names as they could get overwritten by other uploads. Try things like 'officialemmyEmmyofficial.png' or 'runningfranny4Waverlyfan.png'.

===Sources===
As you write your page, be sure to include[[Emmy_The_Robot_Fan_Wiki:Manual_of_style#Citations|cite sources]] for your information in the format <code><nowiki><ref>[LINKTOINFO Description]</ref></nowiki></code>. If you are the creator of a character and are giving them a page, having the reference be: Creator/Self, is acceptable.
