Character Summary[edit source]

Kennedy is a fanon Nandroid who was purchased outside of the Christmas season by the Baxter's after Kennedy completed her safety certification behind schedule. She was bought to take care of the only child in the family, William Baxter, with the only other members of the family consisting of his parents. Kennedy was as standard of a Nandroid as could be during her initial tenure as the Baxter family's maid. She was precise, diligent, obedient, and loving to the family that purchased her despite her potential flaws resulting from her delayed certification. However, after years of servitude, she begins to have strange experiences in her systems, the most vivid of them being visions of a hostile eye overlooking Beacon City and attaching itself to other Nandroids.

After a series of devastating events across a four year span of time, Kennedy and her child are the last survivors in a heavily damaged Beacon City. Kennedy now assumes her role as William's guardian, protecting him in a world where all the other Nandroids attempt to murder them on sight.

Modifications[edit source]

Kennedy has had extensive modifications done to her body to better combat threats. These include a new set of yellow optics to illuminate darkened areas. Her feet and legs have been modified with proper humanlike replacements for better traction, speed, and balance. Finally, one of her arms has been replaced with a larger, industrial strength, arm capable of delivering powerful punches via a piston system.

Relationships[edit source]

William Baxter[edit source]

Kennedy's outlook is totally encapsulated around her child, William, to the point of seeing him as her own despite the father of the family claiming otherwise. Kennedy's every struggle is done in the hopes of providing a better life for William and to see to it that he is safe against the Nandroid threats around them. This comes with a flaw. Should William be in danger or separated from her, Kennedy's thought processes are short circuited and she begins to overclock her own systems attempting to get him back. Should the separation be more permanent, across a great distance, or with little hope of recovery. This heated panic turns to a depression, where Kennedy could act irrationally or snap at others. It is so severe that any hint of an individual attempting to harm or separate William from her could cause Kennedy to take action against that individual. Even more so, she struggles with performing some tasks that could separate her from him, going so far as to unintentionally endanger him if it means keeping him close to her.

William reciprocates this love, valuing Kennedy above even his own parents. Yet, the exact nature of his feelings towards her remain unknown due to his refusal to speak.

Behind the Scenes[edit source]

  • Kennedy has potentially had the most re-writes of any fandroid.
    • The final version of her story is the third overall.
    • Between all the version changes and scene re-writes, Kennedy has had around 83,005 words deleted/re-written, which is nearly as much as the released story.
  • Her story first started being written in July of 2021.
  • The original penultimate chapter was titled Little Dipper after the song by Hum, it was changed and uploaded with My Confession by Christoph de Babalon.
      • It has since been changed back after consideration and is now considered the theme song for the entire story.

Trivia[edit source]

  • Kennedy's industrial arm is heavily based on the Knuckleblaster from Ultrakill.
  • Every chapter is based on a soundtrack title, which can be viewed by clicking the chapter notes.
  • The shotgun designs were based on Scumhead's Doom II total conversion Shrine II.
