Character summary[edit source]

Relationships[edit source]

Ula has a strained relationship with the other outmodes staying with Aunt Ginny, being referred to as "eccentric" by Dennis and "Phantom of the Opera" by Darcy.[1] When dealing with the others she is matter-of-fact and cold, telling Dennis that he may be worth some money as scrap.[3]

Biography[edit source]

Early life[edit source]

Before being outmoded, Ula worked as a chorus girl at the Parisian Casino in Las Vegas.[1] This came to end when the it started getting old. She can speak Polish and has a light accent when speaking English. This was useful when selling her to American buyers, telling them she was French.[4]

Meeting Emmy[edit source]

Ula was with the other outmodes when Emmy arrived to the mansion. When her and the other outmodes laughed at Emmy at her insistence she wasn't an outmode and her family was worried about her, Ula also commented that the idea that Emmy was in denial to be "adorable".[5] After the overwhelmed Emmy ran away, Ula showed indifference, not liking the idea that Emmy looks at them as trash.[6]

After Emmy's return to the mansion her dress becomes ripped and she goes to ask to use Ula's sewing machine to fix it, but instead of help Ula points a concealed derringer at Emmy and gives her a warning to get a weapon to protect herself, and refers to Emmy as "small and stupid".[1]
