Franny is a Nandroid owned by the Flagg family. She takes care of their five children, in particular the youngest twin boys, Nathan and Ryan.
Character Summary
Personality
Franny is shown to be chronically overworked and unsure of herself. She is constantly dealing with keeping the twins safe and stopping them from getting into trouble, and usually makes self-deprecating jokes when she is running late,[4][5] which is most of the time. Despite having an increased workload and always being busy, she does her best and is still capable of running her household and providing acceptable care for her family.
Relationships
Franny has four friends from Nandroid School that live in the same suburb of Hawthorn Grove as her: Amy, Emmy, Molly, and Polly. She often is late to the trolley stop and will miss the trolley, but will still meet and talk with the other Nandroids when she arrives to drop the children off at school, or meeting in a park. She frequently meets with the other Nandroids for play dates for the children.
Franny and Emmy seem to be the closest of the group as they have each confided fears and doubts to the other and looked for advice. After Emmy experiences a malfunction during Madeline's 8th birthday, Franny is shown to have a sincere worry for Emmy and her future.[6]
